Texas Longhorns Football: Kary Vincent Jr. Recaps Texas Visit

Horns Digest caught up with Memorial (Texas) cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. after his visit to Texas.

I caught up with four-star cornerback Kary Vincent, Jr. following his visit to Texas. The Scout300 prospect had nothing but positive remarks of his time spent in Austin, particularly with the Longhorn staff.

"It was great. I loved it," he said of his visit. "They talked about how much they loved me as a person and how great of an asset I can be."

The Memorial High School prospect met with Charlie Strong and the entire defensive staff on campus. His favorite part of the visit was his time spent with Strong.

"My convo with Strong (was my favorite). He gave me the real on everything he knows about me and how he could develop me."

Vincent Jr. would not discuss where Texas fits among his favorites list, but he will be releasing a top 10 in June.

Scout.com Analysis: Kary Vincent Jr.

Vincent Jr. is a dynamic athlete with playmaking ability from his cornerback spot or in the return game. Sudden athleticism in both short-area burst and agility, as well as top-end speed. Turns and runs with receivers well. Great acceleration from a dead stop. Also possesses coveted trait of accelerating even more while already in flight. Excellent closing speed aided by ability to anticipate the ball. Dangerous in the return game because of aforementioned athletic traits and sudden cutback ability. Will need to build bulk and strength to prepare for next level, but a promising, high major-caliber cornerback talent with plenty of potential. - Gabe Brooks
