Standout OT Chuck Filiaga Talks Texas and More

Offensive Tackle Chuck Filiaga might be the most heavily recruited player in the state of Texas. With over 20 offers to date, Filiaga has plenty of options moving forward.

Chuck Filiaga spent his spring break touring schools such as Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor, Tennessee, Auburn, and Alabama.  He holds offers from all six programs.  Filiaga heard an important message from Charlie Strong.

“Coach Strong, I didn't know what he was like until I met him,” Chuck Filiaga said. “Loved what he did he's a family man, he was laid back, but he knew when work needed to get done they would get it done. He talks a lot about discipline and setting high goals for the team to reach. The Texas program will get back on track with coach Strong and the coaching staff.”

Two-way lineman who could play on either side of the ball in college. We like him as an offensive tackle because of his length, long arms, and athleticism. He has an ideal tackle frame, shows the feet to kick out and take on speed rushers but the strength to handle bull rushers as well. He is a talented defensive lineman and can get a push off the edge and moves around the line to take advantage of mismatches- Biggins
