Texas Longhorns Gain Commitment from 3-Star WR Montrell Estell

Charlie Strong and the rest of the coaching staff landed another piece of the puzzle when moments ago wide receiver/defensive back Montrell Estell committed to the Texas Longhorns.

Standout athlete Montrell Estell joins the Longhorn Nation.  The 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Kansas, Notre Dame, SMU and Texas to name a few.

Estell is the 7th prospect in the class of 2017 to announce his public intention to play for Charlie Strong.  He joins Xavier Newman, Kobe Boyce, Lagaryonn Carson, Major Tennison, Sam Ehlinger and Damion Miller.

This is a great addition to the offensive side of the ball for OC Sterlin Gilbert and Jeff Traylor.  Coach Traylor laid the ground work and played a pivotal role and securing the verbal pledge.  Lots of excitement from commitments to fans to Estell.

“I am fired up as well,” Montrell Estell said.  He is a tremendous athlete who can also play on the defensive side of the ball at the safety position.
