After an impressive showing last week at the Elite 11 quarterback competition, Sam Ehlinger advanced to the finals in Oregon later this summer.
“Getting to compete with all those guys was awesome because it made me a lot better,” Sam Ehlinger said. “Overall I did pretty averagely, would have liked to make more throws and be more fluid. I am very excited; it has been a dream of mine to go to the Opening and now that is coming true. I am very happy.”
Ehlinger has other plans this summer.
“To get better with my team and with myself,” Sam Ehlinger said. “I will also be focusing on making my high school team better by improving the chemistry between myself and my receivers. I will visit Texas.”
Ehlinger stays in constant contact with the University of Texas.
“Coach [Charlie] Strong, [Sterlin] Gilbert and [Jeff] Traylor, we talk about the future,” Ehlinger said.
