Four-Star CB Visits the Longhorns

One of the most talked about recruits in Texas checks in from Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne High School. With over 20 offers, cornerback Chevin Calloway has plenty of options moving forward.

Cornerback Chevin Calloway made an unofficial visit to Texas yesterday with his mother, sister, and step-father.  The No 109 overall ranked player according to Scout.com enjoyed his time with the Texas coaching staff.

“It was nice,” Chevin Calloway said.  “I was able to relate to them and just how they are really trying to do something big with the program.  I can see the hunger, and I can tell they really want me to be a part of it.”

Calloway holds offers from Alabama Crimson Tide, Baylor Bears, LSU Tigers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies to name a few.

Scout.com Take

Calloway has some unique skills. He carries himself with confidence and plays the game with an edge at the position, which I love, and you do need some of that swagger when pitted against elite receivers. He can stay in a receivers hip pocket and will come up and lay a big hit. He is very quick in and out of his breaks, and his burst and change of direction are at the top of the charts. He shows a nose for the football, as seen in his special team's plays where he is a kick blocking specialist. -GP
