The Texas Longhorns Land Four-Star WR Devin Duvernay

In a weird series of events, the Texas Longhorns have landed arguably one of the nation's most talented wide receiver prospects in America. Devin Duvernay called the Texas coaching staff moments ago and informed them of his decision to join the Longhorn Nation.

Devin Duvernay checks in from Sachse (Texas) as one of the most decorated high school wide receivers in the class of 2016.  The 5-foot-11, 200-pound wide out has blistering speed and is a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball. He has averaged 17 yards per reception throughout his high school career.  Devin Duvernay will add an incredible amount of speed to the wide receiver unit for the Longhorns.

He held offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Clemson, Colorado, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon and Texas Longhorns to name a few.

Duvernay is a wide receiver who is a valuable weapon in any offense. He plays mostly out of the slot and can take the underneath pass and turn it into a big gain in a flash. He has the moves and the athleticism to make defenders miss, but the most unique quality of his game is his burst and top-end speed. In the pads, he is one of the fastest guys in the country. Additionally, he can make plays vertically down the field. – Greg Powers.
