The Texas Longhorns have added Patrick Hudson

The Texas Longhorns added yet another piece of the puzzle when moments ago offensive linemen Patrick Hudson made his intentions known to join the Longhorn Nation. The four-star standout checks in at 6-foot-5, 320-pounds from Silsbee High School.

At 6-foot-5, 320-pounds, four-star offensive linemen Patrick Hudson is hard to miss.  The Silsbee (Texas) native was one of the most highly decorated players in America.  He held offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M to name a few.

Hudson joins J.P. Urquidez Zach Shackelford, Jean Delance, Denzel Okafor and Tope Imade.  Fans will be hard pressed to find a better group of offensive linemen in the class of 2016.  I believe with the addition of Urquidez and Hudson, Texas signed the No 1 offensive line class in the country.

Scout.com Take

Mountain of a prospect, dominating the competition on the 4A level. And because of his enormous frame and power when Hudson gains the leverage advantage, it’s over. He is raw as a prospect from a technique standpoint in pass pro, but for his size and frame he has good explosion and runs the field and pulls well -- at times clearing lanes 10-15 yards away from the line of scrimmage. He is likely strong enough to compete at the college level early.
