Four-Star TE Talks Texas and More

One of the most heavily recruited players in the class of 2018 is a tight end, Mustapha Muhammad. The Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point High School star talked about the recruiting process and what it means to be a top flight recruit.

At 6-foot-4, 215-pounds Mustapha Muhammad is hard to miss.  The Four-star tight end prospect holds offers from some of the biggest programs including Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, LSU Tigers, Miami (Fl) Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas Longhorns to name a few.

“It’s a blessing to know that my hard work has paid off, and I have opportunities of a lifetime at stake,” Mustapha Muhammad said.  “I don’t want to share my leaders to the public just yet, but I could see myself playing at just about all of the schools who’ve offered me.”

Even though he has two years of high school football left, the big tight end prospect is looking forward to making his decision more than anything.

“I’m looking forward to when I finally decide to announce the school I will be attending for my collegiate career,” Muhammad said. (signing day) “I’ve already visited Michigan and UCLA the past couple of weeks, and I will be at Miami on the 15th.”

Muhammad likes what he sees from Charlie Strong.

“Coach Strong is working to build a solid young program, and it shows because they have had a young team and young teams don’t always start off great,” Muhammad said.

Why is he one of the top recruits in the class of 2018?

“I feel like Mustapha Muhammad is the top tight end in the nation and he is a young athlete who is working hard on his craft to become the best he can be,” Muhammad said.  “I am a receiving threat in the passing game, attached or split out and a sound blocker in the run game.”
