Four-Star CB Anthony Cook Sets up Trips

At 6-foot, 170-pounds, Anthony Cook is one of the highest ranking players from the state of Texas for the class of 2018. The four-star cover corner checks in from Houston (Texas) Lamar High School.

Florida, Florida State, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas are just a few to extend an offer to Anthony Cook.  For Cook, the attention is something he tries not to focus on.

“I try not to worry too much about that and focus more on improving my skills,” Anthony Cook said.  “So I can consistently show everybody why I am so highly recruited.”

Cook is wide open, but a few teams have caught his eye.

“I like Texas Longhorns, Georgia Bulldogs, and LSU Tigers because when you think of DBU those schools come to mind, and I think that means a lot,” Cook said.

Cook is one of the most heavily recruited players in Texas, but he is not focused on recruiting and keeps improving his skills.

“I am not so worried about that part just yet, I just want to keep improving my skill set,” Cook said.

Cook is headed for a busy summer ahead.

“Georgia Camp, Alabama camp, LSU camp and I will be attending Under the Lights Camp at Texas,” Cook said.

How does Cook break down his game?

“I would describe my game as a versatile DB, I can do it all,” Cook said.  “I can get physical, patient and quick feet.”

Cook is coming off a strong sophomore season totaling six interceptions on the year.
