Three-Star LB Nears Decision

Kenneth Murray checks in from Missouri City (Texas) Ft. Bend Elkins High School. The three-star outside linebacker is 6-foot-2, 217-pounds.

Charlie Strong and Brian Jean-Mary are looking for three linebackers for the class of 2017.  One such player, Kenneth Murray will make his announcement next month.

“It doesn’t feel different,” Kenneth Murray said.  “I am grateful God blessed me to be in this position, but it doesn’t’ stop here.  I am still hungry because I haven’t reached my ultimate goal yet.”

Michigan, Mississippi Rebels, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies and Michigan Wolverines will be there in the end.

“I like all the schools in my top 10,” Murray said.  “I will narrow my list down to about 5-6 schools before I commit on August 10th.  I am looking forward to August 10th.”

The Big 12, Big 10 and Southeastern Conference all have a chance to sign the talented linebacker.

“I will most likely visit Texas and A&M again this month and hit Oklahoma at the end of the month and possibly Michigan too.”

Murray has made several trips to Austin and will get a chance to spend time with the head coach later this month.

“Great coach (Charlie Strong) great program,” Murray said.

Why is Murray one of the most heavily recruited players in America?

“My game is all about relentless pursuit,” Murray said.  “Von Miller is someone I have looked up to since he was in college and I try to mimic my game after him.  Pass rushing is one of my biggest strengths plus I have played some strong safety, so I move as a DB is also a big strength.  I just relentlessly pursue the ball my game.”
