Anthony Hines is the No 1 ranked ILB in the class of 2017. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound backer has decided he will attend Under the Lights with Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns. The five-star standout is from Plano (Texas) Plano East Senior.

At 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, Anthony Hines checks in as the No 19 ranked overall recruit in the country.  He holds offers from Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oklahoma Sooners, TCU Horned Frogs and Texas Longhorns to name a few.  Hines and his family will be in Austin for UTL on Saturday and visit Texas A&M on Sunday his father decided today.  Hines and family have made multiple trips to Texas, and this will be another important visit for the Hines family and Texas coaching staff.  Texas is at or near the top of the list and this weekend’s visit should only help the Longhorns staff. Take

Hines is a prospect who brings a lot of the qualities to the table that you are looking for in a top-tier linebacker prospect. He can play sideline-to-sideline, and he will also deliver booming hits. Hines is a versatile prospect who could play middle linebacker or outside linebacker once he arrives in college and it is that scheme versatility that has helped him secure one of the nation's most elite offer lists. He is always around the football and collected crazy stats as a junior in 2015. - Greg Powers
