The 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety checks in from Belton (Texas) Garrison Vaughn camped with Texas over the summer and is ready to return. He is excited about his opportunity to make an impression Saturday night Under the Lights.
“I'm very excited to attend UTL camp Saturday and compete with the great competition there, and I just want to be able to go out there and show everyone what I'm about,” Garrison Vaughn said.
Vaughn breaks down his game.
“I think that I'm really good at coming downhill making plays on the run,” Vaughn said. “Also, I believe that I have good sight on the field and can break on just about anything anywhere. But I need to work on staying low in my drive and not being over-aggressive.”
Vaughn has not had a chance to spend time with Charlie Strong, but he understands what Coach Strong is building in Austin.
“I think Charlie Strong is definitely got this going in the right direction,” Vaughn said. “His recruiting has been great, and he seems to be developing the players very nicely.”null
