WR Kassidy Woods Goes In Depth about Texas and Under the Lights

Three-star wide receiver Kassidy Woods made an unofficial visit to Texas this weekend to participate in Under the Lights. The 6-foot-2, 191-pound wideout checks in from Dallas (Texas) Greenhill School.

Numerous recruits from the class of 2018 were in attendance last night to show the Texas coaching staff what they had to offer,

“The experience of being in Austin was great,” Kassidy Woods said. “I arrived in Austin at 12, with my mom, older brother, and friend. We went shopping and visited my friend who goes to UT and she is a cheerleader for UT. It's just a great place with great people and fans who love their Longhorns!  The other recruits I hung out with were all cool, we all talked about football and how this summer is going by so fast! And how great the UT campus is. I talked to Coach [Charlie] Strong, Coach [Anthony] Williams and Coach [Jeff] Traylor. They are all old school and real energetic men who love football and also very open to talking with anybody and holding a conversation. I talked to Coach Strong briefly, and thanked him for allowing me to come and hosting a camp at my school.”

Woods had a chance to spend some quality time with Coach Williams.

“I talked with Coach Williams a lot,” Woods said. “He is a great man and a walking legend as Coach Traylor would say. I already had contact with Coach Williams when he came to my school during spring workout, and we just talked about how everything was going, and he's looking forward to seeing me play this season.”

Woods and his family thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting Texas.

“I wasn't surprised to see athletes who play for Texas at the camp cause I've seen it done at a lot of camps,” Woods said. “I did enjoy how they were engaged and hyped up to be out there and giving advice to what we can do better; I didn't talk to them, just the campers and UT coaches.”
