2018 WR Stanley Lambert Visits the Longhorns for practice

Earlier today the Texas Longhorns opened fall practice in front of fans, media, and recruits. One recruit, 2018 wide receiver Stanley Lambert was on hand to watch as Texas hit the field.

Wide receiver Stanley Lambert is a name to know for the class of 2018.  The 6-foot-3, 210-pound receiver checks in from San Antonio (Texas) Marshall High School.  Earlier today, Lambert was able to watch as Charlie Strong and the Texas Longhorns hit the practice field.

“I visited with one of my teammates who is going to be a senior this season running back Janayl Sedberry,” Stanley Lambert said.  “The tempo at Texas was really fast for a first practice.  What really caught my eye was that all the players were disciplined and worked full speed every rep and did not give up on plays.”

Lambert is a name all recruiting fans should be familiar with heading into 2018.  He was able to spend some time with the coaching staff.

“I talked to most of the coaches,” Lambert said.  “They were asking me if I was going to come to one of their games and I said of course I am.  They asked me how my season is going to be and were wishing me good luck.  Texas has a lot of raw talent that came in, freshmen that are now coming in are crazy huge.  I believe throughout the season they’re going to go far.”

As far as where Lambert is on his game he gives us the latest.

“I believe my game is decent, but there is always room for improvement,” Lambert said.  “The thing that I could tweak a little bit is me breaking and getting away from coverage, but I believe with my speed and explosiveness I have a big advantage.”
