Four-Star LB Alston Orji One of the Best in 2018

Head Coach Charlie Strong has offered a select few high school football players from the class of 2018. One of them is linebacker Alston Orji from Rockwall (Texas) The 6-foot-2, 215-pound four-star is ready for football.

Rockwall high school is home to one of the top players in the class of 2018, linebacker Alston Orji.  With offers from Arkansas Razorbacks, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns, Orji has his choice of top programs across the country.

“I've matured more as a player and now have more experience to draw back on,” Alston Orji said. “This year we know we are in a much tougher district and have to step our game up. We expect great things as a team, and we all know how far we're aiming to go as a team.”

Orji is the No 49 ranked player regardless of position in 2018 and a top prospect for the Texas Longhorns. 

“It's great to have an offer from Texas, and we have spoken to a few coaches about summer activities and our own team,” Orji said. “I'm not sure about a practice since I'm going to be pretty wrapped up in my own team's stuff but I will try and make a game.  Texas has a great staff and great talent to put out on the field, and I think they'll do great for themselves in coming years.
