Four-star tight end prospect Mustapha Muhammad checks in from Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point. He is the No 41 ranked player regardless of position; the No 2 ranked tight end and No 1 tight end prospect in the state of Texas.
Muhammad holds offers from Clemson Tigers, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Stanford Cardinal and Texas Longhorns to name a few. Could the Longhorns have the inside track for the 2018 standout?
“It’s a blessing to be recruited by the same school my mother went to,” Mustapha Muhammad said. “I don’t have much contact with UT coaches right now since Coach [Chris] Vaughn offered me then got fired. I may go to a game this season. I like what Texas is doing they have a lot of young talent and play a lot of true freshmen while trying to rebuild under Coach Strong.”
Muhamad has worked hard in the off-season and is ready for football.
“I've been working on my game to become a complete tight end versus last season when I was mostly just a receiving tight end,” Muhammad said. “I expect to have just as many pancakes as touchdowns!”
2015: As a sophomore, Muhammad made his varsity debut, catching 19 passes for 321 yards and five touchdowns on 16.9 yards per catch.
