Alabama, Auburn Tigers, Florida Gators, Mississippi Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers and Texas Longhorns are just a few teams to offer LaBryan Ray. Defensive linemen are hard to find and Ray is one of the best. Ray and the rest of his James Clemens teammates are ready for their senior season.
“I’m very excited to be back on the field again,” LaBryan Ray said. “Words can’t explain the feeling playing on Friday nights. Something that I cherish and will definitely have fun with.”
Ray has a few games he will attend this Fall.
“I know that I’m attending the Auburn vs. Clemson game, Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Tennessee and Florida vs. LSU,” Ray said. “These are the ones that I know I’m going to right now but I’ll know the rest soon. I had to make a choice and I already had a group of schools that I’m looking at.”
It is unclear if Ray will visit Texas moving forward, but he has respect for the Texas coaching staff.
“Texas has a very good coaching staff,” Ray said. “I have had a chance to get to know them a bit and they seem cool.”
Ray started off as a weakside end prospect, then became one considered a strongside end down the road. It is not out of the question that he grows into a defensive tackle. He has a great body and frame. His length is good and he carries his weight extremely well. His motor stands out consistently. He plays hard. He also plays his keys, plays disciplined football, and does his job. He is not an elite pass rusher yet, but he does put pressure on quarterbacks. He can set the edge and he plays the run well. As a junior, he really took off. He has real upside.
