Texas Longhorns QB Commit Sam Ehlinger Could Return From Injury This Week

Horns Digest has an injury update on Texas quarterback pledge Sam Ehlinger.

Austin Westlake QB Sam Ehlinger started off his senior season on a high note with a Week 1 upset over Katy. However, Ehlinger has not since seen the field due to injury.

In talking with people close to the Longhorns' pledge, the wait for his return may soon come to an end.

Ehlinger could potentially return in time for Austin Westlake's district game against Vandergrift Friday evening, according to folks close to the quarterback.

It is possible that even in Ehlinger could play this Friday, the coaching staff may sit him out a little while longer for precautionary reasons.

If he is good to go, it will be his first game since undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee on August 30.
