BEDFORD: HAVE TO STOP SNOWBALL ON DEFENSE

Beleaguered Texas defensive coordinator Vance Bedford, his defense now giving up 38.3 points per game after Saturday's 49-31 loss at Oklahoma State, said, "Right now, we've got to slow down and stop the snowball from going downhill on defense."

But after giving up 35 first-half points in a loss at Cal and then giving up 37 first-half points Saturday - and 10 plays of 16 yards or longer in the first half in Stillwater alone, including a TD run of 30 yards and TD passes of 54, 52 and 36 yards - is that possible?
