A Scout 100 recruit, Deculus verbally committed to LSU last May, choosing the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Texas, Notre Dame, among others.
But the departure of Miles has opened the door for other programs to increase communication with the Cy-Fair prospect.
While "a lot of different schools" have been in touch, Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, Miami (Fl) Hurricanes and Michigan Wolverines have been recruiting Deculus the hardest since Miles was fired.
And from the sound of it, he is open to listen.
"I'm keeping my options open," Deculus told Scout.com.
Though still an LSU pledge, the coaching situation in Baton Rouge could ultimately impact his stance with the Tigers.
When asked if he plans to stay committed to LSU, Deculus said, "It depends on who becomes head coach."
The 6-foot-6, 325-pound big man told HornsDigeest.com of his plans to take official visits to Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Miami and Michigan.
Dates for the OVs are not currently set in stone.
With Deculus holding his cards close to his chest in recent weeks, there is no doubt this recruitment will be one to watch down the stretch.
