Four-Star DE Jarell Cherry recaps his unofficial visit as Texas hosted Baylor

Four-Star defensive end Jarell Cherry made an unofficial visit to Austin this past weekend to watch the Texas Longhorns upset the Baylor Bears. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound standout checks in from Dallas (Texas) David W Carter.

Four-Star defensive end Jarell Cherry made an unofficial visit this past Saturday as Texas Longhorns hosted Baylor Bears.

“The atmosphere was very live, and I always witness nothing but the best at Texas Stadium,” Jarell Cherry Said.

Cherry met with Brian Jean-Mary and Brick Haley but was not able to spend time with Charlie Strong.

“The trip was great,” Cherry said.  “I got to meet Coach BJ and Coach Hayley and converse with them before and after the game after a very deserved win for UT. I would say an eight on a scale of 1-10. I would rate the trip an eight because I had a great time.  When it comes to meeting Coach Strong, I didn't get to do that.”

The junior defensive end is the leader on and off the field for Carter.

“My season is going well as far as when it comes to playing my best for the team,” Cherry said. “I'm enjoying my progression throughout the season.”

Cherry holds offers from Alabama Crimson Tide, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns and Texas Tech.
