Nakia Watson is a 6-foot, 210-pound running back from Austin (Texas) Westlake. He is a player everyone in the state of Texas should be familiar with.
“Overall, my game is focused on doing what I can to help my team,” Nakia Watson said. “One of the things I think I do well is block. We have really good quarterbacks, and I think my blocking also helps the team. One thing that I am working to get better is to see the hole quicker. Right now our season record is 8-2, and we start the playoffs this week.”
Watson has stayed under the radar in regards to the recruiting process.
“I’m very surprised by the attention, but our coaches keep us aware of a great deal of the recruiting,” Watson said. “So, I’m surprised a little bit, but the coaches deal with most of it. I have not visited any schools yet, I have attended the Texas spring scrimmage and may attend one game, depending on how long our season goes.”
Watson has been keeping an eye on the Texas Longhorns the last two weeks and likes what they are doing.
“I have enjoyed watching the success the Longhorns have had the last two weeks,” Watson said. “I like the way Foreman has been running the ball. I don’t have a prediction for the West Virginia game, I have a game this weekend too, but I do hope the Longhorns do well.”
