Standout 218 WR will trip to Texas as the Longhorns host WV

One of the most heavily recruited players in the state of Texas regardless of class checks in from Manvel (Texas). Wide receiver Jalen Preston is a four-star playmaker and is a wanted man.

One of the top overall ranked players in the state of Texas in the class of 2018 is Jalen Preston.  He holds early offers from Baylor, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas to name a few.

“My game overall, I'm very physical and big with good hands, but I have a lot to work on in my route running, and I have been working on that with Footwork King,” Jalen Preston said. “I see improvement myself and my coaches tell me the same.”

Preston has helped Manvel to an undefeated season as they ready themselves for the playoff run

“List of schools I have visited are LSU Tigers, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies,” Preston said. “I plan to visit A&M and LSU again before the seasons over.”

Texas will host West Virginia this weekend.

“I'm actually going to that game this weekend,” Preston said.  “I think UT will pull this game out.”

Preston will project as a wide receiver on the next level, but playing on one of the most stacked teams in the nation in 2015 he got the chance to show on tape just what type of football player he is. He made plays in all phases wherever he got the opportunity to make them. He has great explosion and can accelerate quickly. He is a tremendous athlete at the receiver position who has an above average leaping ability and has been making the necessary progressions at the receiver position to be considered as an elite level prospect there. He should be one of the most dangerous weapons in the state. - Greg Powers
