2018 DT Keondre Coburn with plenty of attention

At 6-foot-1, 326-pounds Defensive tackle Keondre Coburn is hard to miss. The four-star tackle checks in from Houston (Texas) Westfield and holds offers from Arizona, Baylor, Houston, Michigan, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and TCU to name a few.

Four-star defensive tackle Keondre Coburn has received plenty of attention on the recruiting trail with numerous offers from across the country.  The 2018 standout has enjoyed the process.

“The best part is how many people show you love and how they want you to play for them,” Keondre Coburn said.  “I went to Texas A&M Aggies, TCU Horned Frogs, Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Houston Cougars.  I went to the Texas/Notre Dame game, Oklahoma vs. Ohio State, Texas A&M vs. Tennessee and more.  I want to go visit Ole Miss and Michigan and some more.”

With the added attention it’s been important for Coburn to continue to improve his overall game.

“I feel like I got better from last year,” Coburn said.  “I can rush the passer and stop the run, but I feel better stopping the run.  I need to work on pass rushing and get faster.  I knew I was good but never knew I was good enough to play on the next level.  We are7-3 and we won our district.  We are in the playoffs and play Stratford this Friday.”

Coburn has noticed what Texas has done the last two weeks.

“Longhorns are a good team and just had a few bad games,” Coburn said.  “But they are doing their thing.  The two brothers are cold for real.”
