2018 RB Kemoche Hobbs Ready for Playoff Run

The mission has been simple for running back Kemoche Hobbs, defend the 2015 La Vega state championship. La Vega is 10-0 heading into the playoffs against Fredericksburg.

La Vega ran the table in 2015, with a perfect 16-0 record and Texas Class 4A state championship.  Hobbs earned offensive MVP with 23 carries, 136-yards, and three touchdowns. La Vega sits at 10-0 heading into their playoff game vs. Fredericksburg.

“My team and I are 10-0 going into playoffs against Fredericksburg,” Kemoche Hobbs said. “I feel good about my overall game even though there is a lot to improve on.  I feel that I do a good job at putting my teammates in positions to make plays on the ball as well as myself making a play. However, I do need to work on my speed and strength to prepare myself for the game ahead and also for the next level.

Hobbs has paid close attention to the work the Longhorns have put in the last two weeks of the season.

“Yes, I am surprised by the attention I am receiving in recruitment,” Hobbs said. “I'm receiving emails from schools I never thought would send me anything.  Texas Longhorns is the only school I have visited so far and it was a great experience getting to watch them beat UTEP and witness the atmosphere of a Longhorn football game.  I thought Texas utilized is strengths against both Baylor and Texas Tech and I feel they're going to do the same and get the win against West Virginia.”
