WR Jalen Preston Talks Texas/West Virginia

Four-Star wide receiver prospect Jalen Preston made an unofficial visit as Texas hosted West Virginia early Saturday afternoon. The No 22 overall ranked player in the class of 2018 checks in from Manvel (Texas) as the No 3 ranked wideout in America.

Jalen Preston is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound wide receiver prospect.  He holds offers from LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma and Texas to name a few.  Preston made an unofficial visit as Texas hosted West Virginia.

“I visited with some of my friends that are Texas recruits,” Jalen Preston said.  “One of them from Cy-Springs Taye Barber.  The difference today was on the team wanted it more than the other.  I came kind of late and did not get to visit with any coaches.  The environment wasn’t the loudest today.  It was better the first time I came.  Definitely, a great school to be at if I had a top ten, they would be in it.”

Scout.com Take

Preston will project as a wide receiver on the next level, but playing on one of the most stacked teams in the nation in 2015 he got the chance to show on tape just what type of football player he is. He made plays in all phases wherever he got the opportunity to make them. He has great explosion and can accelerate quickly. He is a tremendous athlete at the receiver position who has an above average leaping ability and has been making the necessary progressions at the receiver position to be considered as an elite level prospect there. He should be one of the most dangerous weapons in the state. - Greg Powers
