2017 TE Chase Rogers Recaps Texas UOV

Tight end Chase Rogers made an unofficial visit to Texas this past weekend. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound end plays checks in from Bay St. Louis (MS) St. Stanislaus and is currently committed to the Tennessee Volunteers.

Three-star tight end Chase Rogers enjoyed his time in Austin this past weekend.

“I met Coach Burke, the tight end coach and coach Johnson the running back coach,” Chase Rogers said.  “I like their offense.  I feel like I would fit well in it.  Tight end is a position of need.  Coach Burke explained to me how the head coach likes to win first, finish the season and then focus on recruiting.  I liked the environment; I liked how the stadium was set up.  I am interested and hope to visit again; I have a lot of ties with Texas.  I was born in Dallas; my cousin Bailey Dobbs is committed to play soccer there, and they live in Katy as well as my uncle who is from Texas.”

Offer list includes Tennessee, California, Mississippi, Oregon and Tulane.
