D'Onta Foreman became just the second running back in Texas football history to rush for 2,000 yards (2,028) in only 11 games played this season, because he sat out of UT's victory over UTEP in September. Foreman joined Ricky Williams as the only backs in Texas history to run for 2,000 yards. Williams rushed for 2,124 yards in his Heisman Trophy season of 1998.
Foreman also broke Earl Campbell's school record for consecutive games with 100 yards rushing of 11 set in Campbell's 1977 Heisman Trophy season by rushing for 100 yards in 13 straight games.
Here's what Derrick Foreman told me Monday morning:
"Yes,we've talked to several agencies. Select Sports was one of them as well. But NO decision has been made on an agent.
"He's waiting to speak with Coach Herman. Then a decision will be made pretty soon after either way. He doesnt want to have the process drawn out.
"We have talked as a family and given our thoughts. We're behind him with whatever decision he decides to make. But HE wanted to speak with Coach Herman FIRST. You can report that."
