TE Reese Leitao breaks down his game and what it means to be a Longhorn

Tom Herman added another piece to the puzzle when tight end Reese Leitao announced his intentions to play for the Texas Longhorns. Leitao talked about what it means to join the program and what he brings to the table.

“Being a Longhorn means being a part of a rich, successful tradition,” Reese Leitao said.  “I have great relationships with both the coaches and the commits.  I knew about the coaches while they were at Houston, so I already had a previous bond.”

With the addition of Cade Brewer and Leitao, the tight end position should be set for the next couple of years.

“I think I’m a physical presence on the line who can also stretch the field out for Coach Herman’s offense,” Leitao said.  “I need to work on footwork both on blocking techniques and route running.  I am interested in talking to Omar Manning.  We took our official together, and I know he’s an explosive receiver.”
