Q&A: 4-Star WR Joshua Moore Opens Up About His Recruiting Process

Four-star wide receiver Joshua Moore looks to narrow his Top 14 by the end of January, but intends to visit Texas before making the next round of cuts.

2018 WR Joshua Moore plans to visit Texas before further narrowing his list in January. The 6-foot-2, 173-pound Yoakum (Texas) product recently released his Top 14 teams, and the Longhorns made the cut.

HD contributor Allen Perkins caught up with the four-star prospect to get the latest updates on his recruiting process.

Q - What are the most important things you look for in a school during recruiting?

A - Relationships, a great academic system, and where I feel most comfortable.

Q - Could you talk about what you like about Jimbo Fisher, Jim Harbaugh, Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops, Tom Herman, etc.?

A - First off all the coaches that are recruiting me text me almost twice a week, even the head coaches! To me that's important and shows that they're really interested in me!

Q - Is there anything that you like specifically about any of the coaches/staffs, when it comes to personality/coaching ability?

A - No, not at all. The part that sticks out to me the most is the interest they show me and my family.

Q - How much has Texas contacted you since Herman was hired?

A - Aw man they've been contacting me A LOT! I actually just got off the phone with coach Herman not too long ago! I talk to them at least twice a week.

Q - Which coaches from UT have you had conversations with?

A - Coach Herman, Coach Washington and Coach Giles are who I talk to the most.

Q - Do you have a leading school right now?

A - No I don't.

Q - Will your brother's (Jordan Moore) decision of where he will attend affect your decision?

A - No, not at all. (Four-star ATH Jordan Moore told HD Joshua's decision would affect his decision a little bit. Jordan Moore is currently committed to A&M).

Q - When do you plan on narrowing your list?

A- January.

Q - When do you plan to make your final decision?

A - I don't have a date yet, I'm just enjoying the process.

Q - Where do you plan on camping?

A - Nowhere at the moment.

Q - Do you plan on visiting UT?

A - Yes, sometime after the dead period, before I narrow my list.

Q - But you'll visit Texas before you narrow your list in January?

A - No doubt.
