Four-star tight end Mustapha Muhammad is the No 41 ranked overall prospect, No two ranked tight end and No one ranked player at his position in the Midland Region and the state of Texas.
“I'm excited to see how things will change once all eyes are on 2018,” Mustapha Muhammad said. “Should be great competition at these camps over the summer.”
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound standout grew up watching the Longhorns.
“It's a blessing to have an offer from the University of Texas,” Mustapha Muhammad said. “I grew up a fan when they had McCoy and Shipley and competed in the National Championship. I really like coach Herman have a good relationship, and he told me that they are going to invite my family and me up there to visit.”
Why is Muhammad a highly recruited player?
“My versatility is what makes me dangerous,” Muhammad said. “I feel as if I can do many things well such as receiving, blocking, and competing as the top tight end in my class.”
Muhammad has a couple of factors he will use to determine his decision.
“I'm mostly looking at how the university ranks academically and how the coaching staff plans on utilizing me as a tight end,” Muhammad said. “I really want to see playing time opportunities from whichever school I choose.”
