BIG DT Lloyd Murray, JR Visits Texas for Junior Day

Standout 2019 defensive tackle Lloyd Murray, JR made an unofficial visit to Texas on Sunday for junior day. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound tackle checks in from Wichita Falls (Texas) Hirschi High School.

Florida State, Notre Dame, TCU, and Tennessee have all extended verbal scholarship offers to defensive tackle Lloyd Murray.

“The overall experience was amazing,” Lloyd Murray, JR said.  “Coach Herman is doing a great job at Texas.  The new locker rooms, training facilities, and the school overall is a great place; Texas is finally in my top three.  I got a chance to talk to Coach Giles and Coach Herman.  They are both great great coaches; they’ve told me things that I wanted to hear also.  There was a great vibe.  I fit in with everybody there; Texas is definitely family.  My family and I both love, love, love, love Texas.  They talked to my family and me about football academics.  Texas is really a great place and is family for sure.”

Texas has yet to extend a scholarship offer, but it could be on the way soon.

“They are going to come visit me in the Spring, and I am going to come back for the spring game,” Murray, JR said.  “Offer coming soon.”
