Marcus Stripling visits Texas and walked away impressed

One of the top players in the state of Texas for 2019 made an unofficial visit to the University of Texas on Sunday. Defensive end Marcus Stripling visited with his family to enjoy time with the Texas coaching staff.

Defensive end Marcus Stripling checks in at 6-foot-3, 245-pounds from Katy (Texas) Mayde Creek High School.  With offers from Georgia Bulldogs, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies, Stripling will be one of the most heavily recruited players in Texas for the 2019 cycle.

“The overall experience was good, and I came with my family,” Marcus Stripling said.  “The first thing we did was check in and then walked on the stadium field. I spoke to Coach Naivar and Coach Giles. “The message I received was that this is the beginning of the revolution that the coaches are trying to bring championships back to Texas and that I'm young and they like my style of play. It was a good vibe. I got to spend time with Coach Naivar. I like his personality.I like the energy and how they develop players.”

Even though Stripling is in the class of 2019, he is already a priority for numerous big time programs and that list will continue to grow.
