Texas Longhorns football is allowing the media to attend the first day of spring practice for a brief window while the team is warming up. While we will not be able to see the guys fully participate in practice, we will be able to get a glimpse of how the team physically looks after spending the offseason in Yancy McKnight's workout program.
In his spring football press conference Monday afternoon, first-year head coach Tom Herman did not sound pleased with every position group's progress during winter conditioning. Herman singled out the defensive linemen as being less than impressive, calling out "fat guys" needing to lose weight in order to determine what the staff has to work with at the position.
"The effort as a group has not been to our requirements here in this program ..."
