Four-Star Safety Anfernee Orji breaks down his most recent trip to the Texas Longhorns

Saturday, March 4th, 2017 was a very special day for the Orji family. Linebacker Alston and Safety prospect Anfernee made an unofficial visit with the University of Texas Longhorns.

Anfernee Orji checks in at 6-foot-1, 205-pounds from the class of 2019.  The Rockwall (Texas) standout is currently a four-star prospect with an early offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks.  He has an interest in Stanford and Texas to name a few.

“I went to Texas on March 4 with my two brothers and my parents,” Anfernee Orji said. “We arrived at the campus at about 9, and we first talked about education.  A degree from UT is one of the best in the nation, so that got my attention. The facilities are all being remodeled, but the preview of the new model is amazing. And DKR is an amazing field to play on with a loud atmosphere which I learned from the Texas vs. Notre Dame game. Coach Herman actually wasn't there, we spent the day with Coach Orlando, and we figured out that he's a great man and coach. We talked about both the academics of Texas and their defense. I don't know of any future visits yet, and I have plenty of interest in Texas.”

Older brother Alston Orji is a 6-foot-2, 215-pound linebacker with offers from the world including LSU Tigers, Michigan Wolverines, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns.  Alston is also ranked as a four-star player according to Scout.com.  He checks in at No 99 overall regardless of position and is the No one ranked OLB in Texas for 2018.
