The Texas Longhorns are looking for length across the defensive line, and Jamari Chisholm fits the bill at 6-foot-5, 290-pounds.
“My excitement level is over the roof,” Jamari Chisholm said. “I get up every morning knowing that I have a task to do to get to Austin. I attack every day in the classroom and the weight room with a passion.”
The exact plan is yet to be determined, but Chisholm understands he needs to be ready when he arrives on campus.
“We haven't really talked about that,” Chisholm said. “Most importantly I think they just want me to come in conditioned and ready to hit it hard when I report. But I have received my workout package, and I'm working out with my team doing the workouts every day. The relationship is great. Nothing has changed about it. Me and Coach Giles talk on a regular to see how I'm doing good in class and he makes sure I'm doing well.”
What can the fans expect to see from Jamari Chisholm?
“The main thing I'm looking to do is get my education and win a National and Big 12 championship,” Chisholm said. “The fans can expect leadership and me getting very productive over the course of my years at Texas.”
