Three-Star Quarterback M.J. Rivers makes an unofficial visit to Texas

Three-Star signal caller M.J. Rivers checks in at 6-foot-4, 213-pounds from Frisco (Texas) Lone Star High School. Rivers made an unofficial visit to check out the University of Texas this past weekend.

“Overall I loved it, and my relationships with them are great,” M.J. Rivers said.  “Talk to them at least two times a week.  It feels great; Texas is a great school academically and athletically.  My parents haven't been a Texas fan, but after seeing the school and the new staff, they would love to see me there.”

What are Rivers and his family looking for in a college?

“I’m looking for a good academic school with a great bond with coaches and a good town, and Texas is very high on the list,” Rivers said.

Rivers is not looking to drag out the recruiting process and will more than likely make an early decision.

“Maybe at my spring game but if not at the beginning of the season,” Rivers said.
