Four-Star CB Jalen Green Visits Texas and Opens Up

One of the top players regardless of position in the state of Texas is 2018 corner Jalen Green. The 6-foot, 170-pound four-star checks in from Houston (Texas) Houston Heights High School.

The No 22 ranked overall player in the class of 2018 is corner Jalen Green.  He is the No 4 ranked corner in America and No 2 in the state of Texas behind only Anthony Cook.  He made an unofficial visit to Texas Longhorns this past weekend with both his mother and father.

“I really enjoyed myself, and I feel great about the coaches and the school,” Jalen Green said.  “I feel good that Coach Washington and UT has me on top of their list. My mother really likes the school and coaches but my father, he likes the coaches, but the school has to grow on him.  I'm in the process of narrowing my list down soon, and UT will be in it.”

What factors will Green and his family use to determine his final decision?

“Academics, family atmosphere and growth,” Green said. “I don't have a timetable.  I have to trim the list down, then do more research on the coaches and the schools.” Take

Green is a physical corner who is not afraid to come up and press the action with receivers at the line of scrimmage. Green has good size and speed. He is pretty big already physically so he can take on or match up with the big-bodied type of wide receivers. We like the confidence that he plays with and that will only grow as his experience on the field grows. He will continue to work on his technique and breaks to become quicker and play a bit cleaner with his aggressive style. His ability to run and change direction combined with size and physicality are what makes him a high-level recruit. - Greg Powers
