“I have a passion for football, and I want to work hard to be the best and make those around me better, as well,” Garrison Johnson said. “I feel like I have a lot of God-given talent and I have worked hard to get myself out there. Colleges should recruit me because I want to play four years, get my degree and be a great representation of the university I go to. My family consists of my dad that played Division 2 football at WT and my older twin brothers that played FCS football at Lamar University. They know what it is like to be a student-athlete and have graduated. My mom also is a college graduate. This will help me because of the expectations and hopefully make colleges feel better about the support system I have to be successful at the next level."
Johnson will make a couple of unofficial visits over the next two weekends.
“These next two weekends I will be going to SMU next weekend, and the following week I will be heading to Oklahoma Sooners and Nebraska,” Johnson said. “I will be playing 7on7 this summer here in Lubbock. The schools I would like to visit would be LSU Tigers, Oklahoma State Cowboys, Arkansas Razorbacks (again), Mississippi State Bulldogs and some Florida schools. My plans this summer aren't anything big, but I'm going to work out every day and get my body ready for next season because it will be really critical for me since it will be my Junior year.”
