As HornsDigest.com reported in Wednesday's HD Only, attrition is headed for the Texas Longhorns following first-year head coach Tom Herman's spring football exit interviews. We reported the first transfer would likely be announced this week, and that has now happened.
Redshirt freshman tight end Peyton Aucoin has announced his plans to transfer from the University of Texas.
While Aucoin is the first transfer, he is not expected to be the last Longhorn to exit the program, according to multiple HD sources. We most recently heard of a potential defensive transfer coming out in the near future, but as we did for Aucoin, we are not going to release any names out of respect for the player.
