Former Mount St. Mary's G Elijah Long Will Transfer to Texas

THIS JUST IN: Former Mount St. Mary's guard Elijah Long announced his plans to transfer to Texas.

Texas Longhorns men's basketball coach Shaka Smart has added another guard to his roster. Former Mount St. Mary's G Elijah Long has announced his plans to transfer to Texas.

Long was a key player who helped lead Mount St. Mary's to a NCAA tournament appearance, where it lost to Villanova in Round 1. The guard averaged 15 points per game while shooting 42-percent from the floor and 38-percent from Three during his sophomore season.

After having to sit out the 2017-2018 season, Long will still have two years of eligibility.
