Texas Longhorns Offer 3-Star Kansas Commit Aaron Brule

Tom Herman has gone outside of state lines to offer 3-star safety and Kansas verbal commit Aaron Brule.

Another out-of-state offer is out for Texas Longhorns. Archbishop Rummel (La.) safety Aaron Brule reported the Longhorns have extended an offer.

A three-star prospect, Brule was one of several Louisianna recruits that committed to Kansas in early February. His recruitment has picked up since his verbal pledge, landing offers from Texas, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Mississippi St., among others.

Scout Evaluation - Aaron Brule

Brule is a safety/hybrid who can play on the second or third level. He looks to be at his best when he is closer to the line of scrimmage and playing moving forward instead of going backwards in coverage. He is a very aggressive player who loves to come downhill to make plays. He always seems to be in the attack mode, but he does play under control. He is solid when moving side to side, but at his best when going north to south. He reaction speed is solid, but he can improve his explosiveness to the ball. He is a big hitter, but he needs to clean up his tackling technique as he appears to tackle high more times than not. He can be used in multiple ways at linebacker and safety, so he has real value as a defender.
