“The recruiting process has been hectic since it started,” Jalyn Phillips said.  There is something different about every university out there and really hard.”

Texas defensive coordinator Todd Orlando has taken a special interest in the standout safety prospect.

“Coach Orlando is the guy that recruits me,” Phillips said. “He’s a great guy.  Haven't really talked that much but he just lets me know he really likes me.”

Who is showing Phillips the most love?

“Clemson and Oregon are showing the most love right now,” Phillips said.  “Really love both facilities and plan on visiting soon.”

Why is Phillips one of the most sought after 2019 prospects in the Southeast?

“I feel that I am the best because of the work that I put in with my trainer,” Phillips said.  “I feel like I see things differently from other athletes while on the field.”

Clemson, Georgia, Oregon and Duke are all places Phillips should visit over the summer months.
