DE Stephen Herron Talks Texas

Standout defensive end Stephen Herron recently picked up an offer from the University of Texas. The four-star Louisville (KY) Trinity high school prospect checks in at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds.

With early offers from Louisville Cardinals, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes, Tennessee Volunteers and Texas Longhorns, defensive end Stephen Herron is a wanted man for 2019.

“The recruiting process for my family and me has been great, and I couldn't ask for a better opportunity in life,” Herron said. “I am blessed academically and to be good in the classroom and blessed for football.  Over the past few months, I've grown with my relationship with Texas and Texas football.”

Where do Herron and his family stand in the recruiting process?

“All teams are equal right now so. Therefore, there are no public favorites and all teams are equal, and I want to go to a school that can give me the best combination of great academics a good relationship with my coach and early playing time as a freshman,” Herron said.  “I'm blessed to be one of the top players in America, and I am there because I'm hard-working and don't like anybody to be better than me and I'm very technically sound of my game.  I have no idea what schools I'll be visiting within the next few months right now, but I'll definitely try my best to make it out to Texas and multiple other schools I have offers from.”
