Recruiting: Longhorns Add Commitment

With three uncommitted prospects officially visiting Austin for Banquet Weekend and then leaving without announcing, most thought Mack Brown and Co. failed to land a single pledge. Upon further review, let the record show Texas did in fact nab one this past Sunday...

"I pulled the trigger this past Sunday," Lake Highlands LB Jeremy Campbell said. "That's really where I wanted to go and I thought that that was where I should go, so why fight it?"

According to Campbell, he told a very pleased Brown Sunday morning...

"Coach said he really wanted me on his team, wanted me from day one and that was I a good fit for their program."

The state's No. 53 prospect said his player host was Tarell Brown.

"We got along great, he's cool..."

The 6-1, 215-pounder projects as a linebacker.

"They said I'll get an opportunity to play any of the three linebacker spots," Campbell said.
