"He's a great blend of passer and runner and he's very intelligent," Carroll head coach Todd Dodge said. "He's also a tremendous competitor and he has a great leadership style. He's just a great athlete with speed, power and accuracy, plus he has a good swagger to him."
The 6-1, 200-pounder projects as a QB first and then at several other positions such as wideout, fullback, safety and linebacker. "I want to play quarterback," Chase Daniel said. "That's the position I want to play in college. If that did not work out, most coaches are telling me I have the speed to play safety. But I'm a QB."
