Texas held off a very determined Texas Tech squad to stay in a first place tie with Oklahoma State and control their Big XII title destiny by winning 74-71 on Saturday afternoon.

Royal Ivey played the point for most of the game and did a very nice job by dishing out seven assists without any turnovers. He also added 11 points and a couple of steals to the Texas cause.

Brandon Mouton finished the game with a team-high 17 points to finish out his career at the Erwin Center.

Brian Boddicker gets a hand in the face of Tech's Devonne Giles. Boddicker and the rest of the Texas defense limited Giles to 2-7 shooting from the field.
Kenny Taylor flies by a Tech defender on his way to the basket and his only two-point field goal of the game. Taylor finished the game with 11 points and was 3-5 from behind the arc.

Jason Klotz hits a big bucket going down the stretch. Klotz, who received some kind words from Bob Knight following the game, had another very solid effort with 11 points and six boards.

P.J. Tucker hits two of his 15 points with this clutch basket. Texas went to Tucker on several possesions late in the game with good results. P.J. also led the Horns with 10 rebounds.

Texas closes out another great year at home and travels to Oklahoma State for a Big Monday showdown to decide the conference title.
