The senior-to-be standout also runs track. He's the anchor on a La Marque sprint relay team that is clocking in the low 41s.
"I've been working hard at track practice and would like to drop my 40 time down to the 4.1-range," Ball said. "I'm gonna try to drop it."
Ball is collecting quite a bit of mail from schools interested in that speed. Currently on his list are: "Northwestern, SMU, TCU, Texas (he attended UT's January Junior Day along with teammate and LSU commit Clarence Ward) and LSU."
"LSU," Ball said, "I would love to run there."
Other Stats/Numbers: "GPA: 3.0, Bench: 265, Squat: 420; Vertical: 28-inches."
The greater-Houston area speedster is an MSLCombines/TheInsiders.com invitee and will attend the NFL Combine-like clinic held at The University of Houston either on Saturday, April 3rd or Sunday, April 4th.
For more information on the MSL combines, go to www.mslcombines.com or simply copy and paste this address: http://www.mslcombines.com. Kids planning on attending either the April 3rd or 4th Houston camp or the May 22nd or 23rd SMU Dallas camps, contact Stacey Dean via email address at email@example.com.
You MUST pre-register or you will not be able to participate. There will be no last-minute walk-ups. If you're not yet signed up, you're missing out on the most realistic NFL Combine-like event, including the NFL HRT test (NFL aptitude/psyche test) soon-to-be NFLers take, not to mention every drill the NFL Combine puts on and perhaps the most exciting aspect -- position-specific instruction via former/current NFL coaches and/or players. Are you ready to take YOUR game to the next level?
