Select comments to Inside Texas by Texarkana head coach Barry Norton on Nathan Jones:

"He has an outstanding work ethic and he’s able to accept criticism from coaches. He’s always been a steady guy who was willing to play anywhere to get the job done. He's a wonderful young man. He would be a good addition to any program."

"He always has a bright smile on his face. He has the kind of personality that every one likes. He’s very mature for his age. He’s as fine of a young man as you could ever meet."

"He's got real good hands, and he's a polished route runner. He’s a smart young man and he understands the game."

"He’s someone who is able do anything we asked him to do. He was willing to work with the younger kids and to step up to be a leader. He’s just been a blessing to our program. He did everything you could ask of an athlete."

"He’s got a great mother and daddy. His mom is the kind who stays on him to make sure he does everything right. He’s a class kid from the word ‘go’."

"He just needs to continue to get stronger. That’s what most high school athletes need, especially the wide receivers. Nathan will stay in the weight room and continue to work. He’s going to see a lot of press coverage at the next level, and so he needs to get stronger and get off the point of contact."
