Recruiting: Spring Game Attendee Kyle Anderson

The Woodlands TE Kyle Anderson tripped to the Forty Acres this past weekend to hang out with some friends, take in the Spring Game, absorb the atmosphere and grab a little face time with UT tight end coach Bruce Chambers...

But before we spoke with Kyle Anderson, his father gave us his impression of the trip: "It was awesome."

Moments later, same question directed to the 6-4/6-4.5 pass-catcher brought an identical response: "It was awesome."

Like father, like son...

Anderson said the thing he liked the most about the event was "watching the game, seeing a second-string tight end -- a converted tackle -- catching a couple of balls, and talking to (Chambers)."

Catching up with Woodlands alums was something else he enjoyed while in Austin.

"I got the chance to talk to Chance Mock, Brian Carter, Nick Schroeder (walk-on deep snapper)..."

Still nothing like hearing where you stand with Chambers, though...

"They're looking at me, DajLeon Farr and Martellus Bennett," Anderson explained. "And Coach Chambers said that he'd love to have me, wants me to be a Longhorn, but that's a decision that will come from Mack Brown after the Spring."

Anderson is currently holding offers from: "Arizona, Wisconsin, UCLA and Texas A&M."

His current favorites today?

"UCLA, A&M, Texas, Miami, LSU, OU, Arizona, Wisconsin."
